Mara made her debut at Carnegie Hall with the New England Symphonic Ensemble as the soprano soloist in Vivaldi's Gloria and Rutter's Requiem. She also performed in 2 concerts in Carnegie Hall's Chamber Hall Weill Recital Hall. Other past performances include Giannetta in The Elixir of Love with Mozart & Friends Opera Festival, Lady Silverpeal in Mozart's one-act opera Der Schauspieldirektor with Ridge Light Opera, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor for Bohème Opera's educational outreach production, and Ophelia in Hamlet by Thomas with the Shakespeare Opera Institute of Connecticut.
Performances include Juliet from Romeo & Juliet with The Shakespeare Opera Institute of Connecticut, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte with Lyric Opera New York, and the European tour of "The Four Divas". She spent the summer of 2001 with Opera Aegean performing throughout Athens and the Greek Isles, where her favorite memory is singing at the Zappion at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens! This young artist program provided the foundation for Mara's dream to build a summer program for young artists to learn and perform a role as there are few opportunities to do so as the competition is fierce.
